MARINE AND COASTAL MONITORING SERVICES

We specialize in Marine and Coastal Environmental Monitoring to support sustainable development of coastal infrastructure, port expansions, dredging activities, desalination plants, and offshore oil & gas projects. Our monitoring programs are designed to assess the health of marine ecosystems, detect pollution risks, and ensure full compliance with the regulatory requirements of Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), ADNOC, and other regional authorities. Our services follow international best practices, including those outlined by IMO, MARPOL, and USEPA

Marine Water Quality Monitoring

 Assessment of key parameterspH, Salinity,

  • Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen (DO)
  • Turbidity, Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
  • Nutrients (Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia, Phosphates)
  • Hydrocarbons, Heavy Metals (Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr, Zn, Cu)

Monitoring at various depths and distances from shoreline or discharge points.

Marine Sediment Sampling

  • Evaluation of sediment composition, grain size, and organic content.
  • Testing for contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
  • Assists in assessing the impact of dredging, reclamation, and industrial discharge.

Marine Ecology and Habitat Assessment

  • Surveys of benthic organisms, coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, and intertidal zones.
  • Identification of sensitive marine habitats and species of ecological or conservation importance.
  • Assessment of potential impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services.

Hydrodynamic and Coastal Process Studies

  • Measurement of currents, tides, wave action, and sediment transport to inform marine construction planning and erosion control.
